Allamuchy

With the name deriving from a term which means "Place within the hills," Allamuchy is one of the most scenic places in Northern NJ.

Allamuchy is one of the most beautiful and tranquil towns that Northern New Jersey has to offer. Not only is it home to three state parks (Jenny Jump, Allamuchy, and Stephens), but it is also home Waterloo Village & Rutherford Hall.  Allamuchy truly has it all: serenity & history.

Allamuchy Township is a beautiful area in Warren County, northwestern New Jersey.  It is the outdoor lovers dream!  There are many farms and lakes, including Tranquility Farms and Stevens State Park. Allamuchy Township has outdoor recreational activities such as boating, kayaking, fishing, hiking and biking. Rutherford Hall is a gorgeous structure and was the past mansion of John Rutherford, a place where former President Franklin Roosevelt would take occasional trips from his home in Hyde Park, New York. Today it is a cultural center and museum, that provides education and opportunities.  A lot of community events are held here, including the 4th of July fireworks.  Besides the public schools, there are many educational opportunities for students in Warren County, including Ridge and Valley Charter School in Blairstown and Warren County Technical School in Washington.
